Chittattumukku, August 5, 2023 – In a gracious and heartwarming event, Rev. Fr. Miguel Márquez Calle, the General of the Order of Discalced Carmelites (OCD), along with Definitor Fr. Pius James D’Souza, undertook a fraternal visit to Carmel Ashram, Chittattumukku. The visit aimed to strengthen the bonds of camaraderie and spiritual unity within the Carmelite community.

The esteemed guests were accorded a warm and enthusiastic welcome by Fr. Tony Muthappan OCD, the Provincial of the Order, and the Councillors: Fr. Paul Albey OCD, Fr. Jose Thomas OCD, Fr. Joseph Manuval OCD, and Fr. Pradeep Xaviour OCD. The entire Carmel Ashram community, including students and members, joined in extending their heartfelt greetings.

The visit commenced with a solemn prayer service held in the Carmel Ashram Chapel. Rev. Fr. Miguel Márquez Calle led the congregation in prayer, and his paternal blessing resonated with a sense of divine grace and guidance. At 8:00 PM, an essential meeting took place between the visiting dignitaries and the provincial team. Fr. Tony Muthappan OCD and his fellow councillors engaged in thoughtful dialogue with Rev. Fr.
