PRIESTLY ORDINATION OF OUR CONFRERE PANKAJ LAKRA OCD ON 11TH FEBRUARY 2018, DINGURPANI, SIMDEGA DIOCESE, JHARKHAND
“I HAVE CHOSEN YOU” , THE MOTTO written on the stage of the Priestly Ordination reveals the secret of this immemorial event just on the day after the heavenly home coming of his beloved father. He never lost for a moment the grace as he came for Ordination. The Ordination Mass was presided over by Bp. Vincent Barwa, concelebrated by c. 20 priests ( c. 7 Ocd South Kerala, 2 Ocd Ranchi Delegation and other diocesan and religious priests) and good participation of the Faithful. Holy Mass started by 8.15 am with dances, drumming and singing, on the stage. The deacon was brought walking on the baskets(taken from the world) and entrusted to the Bishop(Church) for ever before calling his name and liturgical request to the Bishop. The whole Liturgy was graceful and joyful in mood. After the final blessing of the Bishop, Fr. Pankaj Lakra gave his Priestly blessing and the Mass ended by 11.30 am. After a break the felicitation and cultural program went on for long. “You are a Priest for ever “. May our Blessed Mother of Carmel be at his side in joy and sorrow. His family people had still the mixed feeling of losing the dear Dady. The Sacred Heart Fathers running this adibasi parish and the sisterly concern of the CMC Sisters , parishioners with the sharing of the hearts, hands and means for a good meal keep this parish community United and blessed. A special thanks to Fr. Provincial of Malabar, Fr. Mark, Delegate Provincial of Ranchi and fathers for the kind hospitality and conveyance and care given us.
